The Spanish luthier Domingo Esteso Lopez was one the guitar great makers of the early 20th century to come out ofthe shop of Manuel Ramirez. After Manuel Ramirez died, he opened his own shop on the calle Gravina, where he was joined by his 13 year old nephew, Faustino Conde in 1926. After his death in 1937, Domingo's widow (Vda) took over the shop, and Faustino and his two brothers, Mariano and Julio continued working for her building under the label Vda y Sobrinos de Domingo Esteso (Widow and nephews of Domingo Esteso) which they signed Conde Hermanos until her death in the 1960s, when they began using their own label Hermanos Conde, sobrinos (nephews) of Domingo Esteso. This guitar was made between 1959 and 1964, when the Conde family had opened a shop on the Calle Santiago Maganto near the intersection with Pozuelo de Alaron. While this isn't the top model, it is a professional guitar with french polish and high-end tuning machines. The finish is flawless, zero playing wear anywhere on the guitar. The luthier German Vasquez Rubio has recently went through this guitar, stabilizing incipient non-penetrating checks on either side of the fingerboard, splining a center seam crack below the bridge, added a golpeador, and went over the setup. This guitar comes with an original case. This is a great guitar, that any player or collector would enjoy.
