Jose Ramirez III (born 1922) was the third generation of luthiers in the Ramirez family. He joined the workshop in 1940, and apprenticed under his father (Jose Ramirez II) and the other journeymen working there. After his father death in 1957, Jose took over the direction of the workshop. An innovative luthier, under his direction the workshop began producing guitars of the highest quality that soon attacted Andres Segovia and a host of other artists to use them. This 1984 Ramirez is in immacculate condition, and possess the qualities for which Ramirez guitars are famous.
