The Spanish luthier Francisco (Paco) Santiago Marin was born in Granada in 1946. Paco apprenticed with his uncle Antonio Marin Montero, and spent  ten years in his uncle's workshop learning the art of guitar making before opening his own workshop in 1973. He builds entirely by hand using traditional methods and designs. In 1997, the Second International Guitar Competition in Spain was held in his honor. His guitars have been bought by such great players as Manuel Cano, Camelo Martinez, David Rose, Konrad Ragossnig, and Eliot Fisk. This handmade concert classical guitar has everything that one wants in a concert classical guitar: fine craftsmanship, rich full-bodied tone, balance, evenness, power in every register, and great set-up. One of Segovia's ex-students, who regularly tests the classical guitars that I have, expressed that this pair guitars was among the finest he has seen to come thru my hands.
