Arturo Huipe is one of the best
luthiers in Mexico. This guitar represents his effort
to step up to a concert guitar that can complete on world level. The workmanship
on this handmade, French polished guitar is impeccable. Indeed, this guitar compares favorably to many classical guitars that would sell for hundreds of dollars more. While not a Fleta copy, its tone is inspired by
Fleta; and, it has the
volume and refinement one expects from a concert instrument. It is responsive,
well-balanced between basses and trebles, has excellent clarity, and a
very full, rich, and colorful tone. It is also set up well, so it is a joy to
play.
