This concert classical guitar was made by the luthier Juan M. Alvarez in 2004. The label is signed and dated, and numbered 1742. This is a concert guitar with a true Madrid school flavor--beautifully balanced, excellent separation, power and sustain in every register, sweet rounded clear trebles, and nice firm basses. This guitar reminds me of Ramirez classical guitars from the 1960s, without their high set up. The action is very comfortable, and a player's dream.
