The Spanish luthier Santos Bayon Ruiz is the grand nephew of Santos Hernandez whose shop he inherited from his father, Feliciano Bayón, a talented luthier in his own right. He has obviously studied his great uncle's guitars very closely, and his Santos Hernandez model is a superb instrument that lives up to its name. I believe that Santos is among the finest guitar makers currently working in Spain. This handmade concert classical guitar truly sings-- great trebles, crisp basses, full bodied tone, responsive. I am very tempted to keep one of these.
