John M Gilbert (b.1922)  is regarded by many as one of America's finest luthiers, and also among the most innovative. His concert classical guitars are played by such artists as David Russell, David Tanenbaum, and Fred Hand. This instrument is the only flamenco guitar he made, at least to my knowledge. With exception of some nail marks on the treble side next to the golpeador, this professional flamenco guitar is in excellent shape. The action is very low, and gives an aggressive flamenco sound. This label is signed, dated, and serial numbered 712.
