Gerundino Fernández, Hijo, is the son of the grandmaster Gerundino Fernández (1931-2006), whose flamenco guitars were used by Paco de Lucia, Paco Peña, Juan Martin, Tomatito and Eric Clapton. He was was born in 1974 in Almeria and from very young heled his father construct guitars. Gerundino, Hijo, guitars have the same raspy growl and volume, well balanced intonation and “gutsy” percussive sound that made his father's instruments so sought after. The low action setup of this expertly handcrafted flamenco guitar is perfect, and has same subtle touch as his late father, making it a true joy to play. Misael Barraza-Diaz, who recorded this guitar, was really impressed with this guitars.
