José Rodríguez Peña was born in Andújar in 1958 and started making guitars in 1971 in the shop of Javier Cayuela Garcia in Andújar and worked with him for eleven years. This guitar,  was made in 1982 while he still live in Andújar. Despite the years in Cayuela's workshop, José considers himself self-taught, but admits that his guitars have been incluenced by those of Miguel Rodríguez and Manuel Reyes, both from Córdoba. He now lives and works in Córdoba, and makes about 15 guitars a year. This guitar is in wonderful condition: it has no cracks, repairs, string burns, scratches, gouges, etc. Currently the guitar has no golpeador, but the seller can put one on, if the buyer wants one.
