Many consider the Golden Age of the Ramirez workshop to be during the 1960s. Andres Segovia was playing their guitars, and the group of luthiers that were working in there included many luminaries that would eventually establish their own shops. This guitar was built in 1966 and carries the initials P.C. and so probably was made by Pedro Contreras Valbuena, but could have been made by Cayetano Alvarez Luna, who also used these initials when he built guitars. As is common in older guitars, there is some minor wear and tear:  Nail marks around the soundhole, dings around the body edge, hairline butt end cracks, but everything is original. This was the Segovia Era— and since he played a 664mm scale that’s what everyone wanted.
