This Conde Hermano flamenco guitar was imported and sold during the 1960s by Locker's Music in Philadelphia. They have pasted their Locker's label over the Conde Hermanos label, we don't believe this was there top model, but perhaps a 2a level one as it has high-end appointments such engraved Fustero tuners, and French polish. The current owner believes it was made in 1962. The guitar is in excellent condition overall. There are no cracks on the body. There are a few light string burns, a few small scratches, including a 5/8 inch cross-grain stratch under the B string. There are some shallow nicks, and a couple of errant nail marks visible here and there, a common occurance on flamenco guitars. There is some incipient grain check adjacent to the bass side of the fretboard, but it does not penetrate through the wood. The luthier German Vasquez Rubio recently did some minor repairs to the back of the headstock, refretted the guitar, and did a new set up. In general, this guitar has the appearance of an old instrument,  a closet queen, that was little played and has lived its life in its case. Virtually no playing wear per se discernible, but finish has old look, appropriate for age.
