Jose Oribe is one of the dean's of American luthiery. He began building in 1962, and is still at it. This beautiful guitar was made in 1967. It is no 144 in his opus, and is made from master grade woods. The owner has had it for 6 or 7 years, and describes it as having a "magnificent, rich sound!! Great sustain and intonation." This concert classical guitar has one small dent/nick in finish near lower bout purfling on treble side (see pic). Very light playing wear below treble strings, noticeable only in angled light. Two clusters of shallow scratches (more like dents) on back which do not break finish; barely noticeable except in angled light. No cracks anywhere. No repairs are need. Neck straight as an arrow. New Oribe guitars of this quality sell for $12,000 or more.
