This is a nice 1968 1a Ramirez, a so-called Segovia model, that Sherry Brenner of Chicago imported and added "Segovia model" to the label.  Since Segovia was playing a Ramirez at the time, this piece of marketing was intended to emphasize this fact. Jose Ramirez, however, took a dim view of it, since he made no such model-- this and other Brenner shenanigans led to a falling out, and ended Brenner run as his US distributor. The seller is a well known luthier, and makes the following notations: The guitar is all original, and has no cracks, and needs no repairs. Other than some fine checks below the bridge in the finish, this guitar is as close to being in mint condition as I have ever seen on a 1960s Ramirez. The set up is correct, and very comfortable, (4mm & 3mm at the 12th fret on 6th and 1st strings respectively).
