Jesus Bellido (b. 1966) is the son of the Granada luthier, Manuel Bellido, and a very talented guitar maker in his own right. This is his 1a concert classical guitar made using master grade wood for the top. Since all rosewood species (Dalbergia) are now listed on the CITES appendices of endangered species, he has made this guitar with back and sides of Brazilian Lauro Preto, a gorgious wood that acoustically is a good substitute for Brazilian rosewood. None of the woods in this guitar require CITES permits. The guitar itselfhas everything one could ask for in a concert guitar: power, great tone, and character- a wonderful, vibrant, full-bodied basses, and substantial lovely singing trebles.
