Juan Miguel Gonzalez is widely recognized as one of the great Spanish guitar makers living today. Born in Almeria in 1947, he was taught by his father Miguel Gonzalez Abad (1906-1989), who in turn had apprenticed with the Moya brothers (who were close friends with Antonio Torres). Juan Miguel's classical guitars have all the qualities that professional players seek and love. This concert guitar guitar is his top level model, not only is the level craftsmanship outstanding, but its tonal characteristics are superb. It is powerful instrument that projects well and has real presence even when played softly. It offers a rich tonal palette, had has evenness of notes and great balance between trebles and basses, and a great midrange. It has a firm full tone, which even in the highest registers does not become thin or plinky.
