Burak Uyar born in 1993 is a luthier from Bandirma, Turkey. He started playing the guitar when he was 9 years old. But he was more interested in the backstage of the guitar so he started working on guitar making when he was 13 in Eskisehir. After he graduated from Eskisehir Fine Arts High School, and then studied guitar making at the Izmir Ege University State Conservatory. While he was studying guitar making, he opened his own guitar workshop where he continues making handmade guitars to this day.

This guitar that Burak Uyar has listed with us is new. Although purple heart is not a well-known. Brazilian rosewood and other rosewoods are increasingly threatened and vulnerable species, it is a fabulous tonewood, with the some of the best characteristics of world class tonewood. It is very dense, and guitars made with it have high sustain and project marvelously. It offers perfect basses and lively trebles. In this respect purple wood is in the same league as African Blackwood, Lapacho and Brazilian rosewood without the drawbacks of Brazilian rosewood which is prone to cracking.
