German Vazquez Rubio is one of the most talented and prestigious luthiers in the world today. He was born in 1952 in Paracho, Mexico where there is an abundance of fine luthiers, and began his formal training when he was eleven years old with uncle Manuel Rubio. In 1968 at the age of sixteen he made his first concert guitar. Since then, he has studied with various master builders such as Felix Manzanero, Jose Romanillos, David Daly, and Thomas Humphrey. He now lives in Los Angeles, California where he has a workshop and continues to build guitars.

This is German Vazquez Rubio's award winning Hauser Model that won First Place in the Concurso Nacional de Constructores y Ejecutantes de Guitarras 2000. It possess the qualities that one would expect in a guitar patterned after the 1937 Hermann Hauser that Segovia owned. It has an exceptionally clean, clear and refined sound offering a very wide tonal palette, with good separation across all strings and the power and projection needed to fill any concert hall. The guitar has been well-cared for, and has no structural issues. It is fitted with handcrafted Rodger's Hauser machine heads for precision tuning. It is set up very comfortably, and should one ever desire to lower the action there is ample bone on the saddle to do so.

The owner is willing to entertain offers.
